Critics

A non-exhaustive collection of notable critics of Jack, sorted alphabetically. Please note that this page is not meant as an advertisement or exposé for these critics; readers are encouraged to check their content out and judge their quality by themselves.

This page is split into three categories - critic groups; "dedicated" individual critics that have made Jack a larger focus of their content; and "casual" critics who have criticized Jack, but are not overly focused on him. By the wiki's definition, critics are separated from trolls by primarily making content about Jack rather than harassing Jack to his face directly.

Groups

4chan's /ck/

The /ck/ - "Food & Cooking" board of 4chan was the earliest known home for Jack trolls, with him becoming a subject of posts as early as September 2013. In October 2015, the board mobilized in trolling Jack over his appearance on the Sunday Evening Coffee podcast, where he admitted to choking his son Garrett twice and advocated for the genocide of Palestinians.

In recent years, the board's asshurt moderation team (Apheliot, archaeowicker, bigyah00, newton, Smart, tetherballeyebleach108, w370) has engaged in strict censorship of Jack threads, largely fading him out of the board's culture. Some stealth Jackposting has persisted in the form of replies to threads, rather than Jack being in the thread OP.

Aunt Myrna's Parlour

Aunt Myrna's Parlour is a Discord server created by Kiwi Farms user Rod Dangerous on 28 March 2022. Originally a fanclub for Pink Chicken & The Lazy Man specifically, it has since morphed into a general Jack detractor server, with many members joining from Jack Vlogs and the CWJki. The server's channel topics include Jack, other Scalfaniverse figures, churches Jack has attended, other lolcows, and off-topic discussion. On 26 January 2025, Rod Dangerous left the server and gave Pink Chicken of PC&TLM its ownership. As of September 2026, the server has 150+ members.

On 16 August 2024, an extended family relative of Pastor Jeremy "Shoegame" Austill joined the server and offered members to ask them anything. On 26 September 2025, Jimmy joined the server in an attempt to have his workplace removed from the CWJki; however he was unable to navigate the channels and was eventually banned by staff. Jack's account was preemptively banned after he became active on Discord.

Kiwi Farms

The Kiwi Farms is an internet e-celebrity gossip forum currently managed by Joshua "Null" Moon. A thread on Jack was created on 16 October 2015, and has served as the main archive of Jack's antics since, with 3800+ pages as of September 2026.

Jimmy is known to have read the thread, with the Kiwi Farms icon visible in his browser tabs during certain old livestreams. There is no confirmed case of a Scalfaniverse figure directly posting on the Farms, however certain users have raised suspicions before - such as "Zero fks to give" who claimed to have stopped trolling Jack after Jack and Tammy supposedly helped him get his broken car towed from the road, or "Christ4President2024" who had repeatedly defended Jack on his thread, calling it "the most smug thread on the forums" and that "Jack has accomplished more than you ever will in your sad little lives."

Dedicated critics

Down with Jack Scalfani

Down with Jack Scalfani is a discontinued WordPress blog "dedicated to exposing the ugly underbelly of self-proclaimed foodie and nicest guy on YouTube, Jack Scalfani" authored by Illinois blogger Ashley Hayes under the pen name Ashleigh Haze. The blog mostly reviewed individual Jack videos, and received posts from February to May 2016.

It is ultimately not known why Hayes abandoned the blog, however it did provide some useful information, such as Tammy's college degree being potentially fake. Hayes was also possibly behind a Twitter account impersonating Pastor Maury Davis at @MurryDavis.

Jack Scalfani World

Jack Scalfani World is an anonymous YouTube channel active since 2026 that regularly documents Jack's videos and social media posts. The creator has also previously criticized Jack's associates like The Wolfe Pit and Rob Milanowski.

The channel originally did raw reuploads of Jack clips, however two videos were copyright struck by Jack in July 2026, which the creator blamed on trolls "taddling to Jack" in now-deleted rants. The channel has since shifted to more heavily edited compilations.

Jack Vlogs

Jack Vlogs is an anonymous YouTube channel active since 2022 that would edit Jack's videos into comedic parodies, and has previously contributed to the CWJki.

Despite slowly gaining popularity and enduring multiple of Jack's copyright strikes, the channel was suspended from YouTube on 24 August 2024, over violations of the site's "sex and nudity policy" after an attempted upload of a video covering the 2019 Facebook hack - the channel has since returned on both YouTube and Rumble. Uploads have slowed down in recent years, however the creator has continued to reply to comments on videos.

John Mattress

John Mattress is a small YouTuber who made several edits of Jack videos from 2016-2017, most notably shining a light on the year-old freezer-burned brisket chili.

Despite making a new video in 2021, John said he would not return to regularly making Jack edits, as he hoped the original batch would make Jack "take the ribbing and criticism to heart and improve his craft" which obviously did not happen.

Lonely Jar of Lime Eggs

Lonely Jar of Lime Eggs is an anonymous YouTube channel created in 2025 that makes comedic Jack edits and compilations in a similar style to Jack Vlogs. The channel's creator claims to have previously worked on a AAA video game that was criticized by Jack as "wolk" during a livestream.

Pink Chicken & The Lazy Man

Pink Chicken & The Lazy Man (PCTLM) is a Jack-centric podcast active since 2020 hosted by a Pennsylvanian couple named Michelle (Pink Chicken) and Tom (Lazy Man). PCTLM consists of two parts - a pre-recorded podcast going over random individual Jack videos, and The Boys' Club, a weekly YouTube livestream on Saturdays covering both Jack's recent video output and his social media posts.

Jack has attempted to have PCTLM terminated by the use of copyright strikes. When asked about PCTLM during a livestream, Jack would claim that he had "never heard of it [...] never seen it" - a rather brazen lie. According to Pink Chicken, the channel received 15 copyright strikes in total - all of which have been since repealed - with the last one occurring in September 2022. It should be noted that Boys' Club livestreams are unlisted upon completion precisely to prevent more of Jack's petulant strikes.

Should I Series

Should I Series is a mom-and-pop restaurant chef that has tested several of Jack's recipes, including Aunt Myrna's dreaded Party Cheese Salad. He tried out The Best Sauces in 2019, promptly spitting out the barbeque sauce upon it entering his mouth.

Additionally, he created LolCowGo, a now-defunct tool which allowed searching through transcripts of the video library of various lolcows, including that of Jack. The tool was shut down around October 2025 due to hosting costs, however a Jack-only successor has been made by a CWJki contributor titled FatFatGo.

Total KoolAid & More

Total KoolAid & More focused more on covering Jack's old blogs, such as All That Bugs!, showing more of what Jack is like behind the scenes.

By around August 2026, Total KoolAid unlisted all his videos, however his Jack content has been compiled into a playlist.

Casual critics

August the Duck

August the Duck, real name August Burton Bruce, is a YouTuber known for his reaction videos, gained prominence by reacting to Jack's controversial cooking content, starting with Jack's "Wet Brine vs Dry Brine Chicken" videos.

On 12 April 2022, August announced that he would no longer react to Jack's videos, citing ethical concerns and discomfort with mocking someone who had experienced significant health issues, including multiple strokes. However, on 27 August, August returned to reacting to Jack's content. On 26 June 2023, August announced he would be ending the Jack reactions once again, due to not feeling comfortable making fun of Jack after his most recent stroke.

Dox email incident

The email August received, which was very obviously not written by Jack.

August uploaded one more Jack video on 20 February 2024, discussing Jack’s appearance on the Sunday Evening Coffee podcast. This video led to August receiving a threatening email, the sender angered by August's sister marrying a man of a different race, and demanding that August delete the Jack video lest he wants his home address leaked. August pinned this email on Jack, despite lacking usual signs like Jack's signature terrible grammar. Jack denied being behind the email in a Twitter reply, stating he "would NEVER purposely hurt anyone" and "had to look up" what the word "doxing" even meant. Upon further skepticism by viewers on Jack's involvement, August first published a community post apologizing for jumping to conclusions, then a video clarifying that Jack had denied sending the email, regardless insisting that the doxing threat came from a Jack supporter.

Brian Tsao

Brian Tsao is a professional chef who reacted to Jack's videos, usually accompanied by a guest, and suggested more professional methods to prepare Jack's dishes. Tsao uploaded 18 Jack videos in total before officially retiring the topic.

CinnamonToastKen

Ken has the honor of getting a rare (indirect) response to his videos by Jack.

CinnamonToastKen, real name Kenneth Charles "Ken" Morrison, has made multiple reactions videos to Jack's cooking with his friend BuffPro. Morrison has also covered the AugustTheDuck dox incident.

Colossal Is Crazy

Colossal Is Crazy, real name Oliver William Colton, had made one major video on Jack simply titled "weed", in which he covered Jack's West Texas Investors Club episode, Jack's Sunday Evening Coffee appearance, and Jack's general bad cooking habits. The video had gained almost two million views by early 2024, but the video was deleted by Colton later that year for uncertain reasons. Reuploads of the video still exist.

Cr1TiKaL

Cr1TiKaL, real name Charles Christopher White Jr., is a variety YouTuber who has reacted to several Jack videos, making fun of Jack with his signature deadpan humour. He is mostly known for pointing out Jack's supposed obsession with mayonnaise.

DomReacts

DomReacts is a lesser-known reaction YouTuber who would occasionally react to Jack's gross cooking videos. While he initially just seemed to be grossed out by Jack's cooking, like everyone else, he later developed a genuine dislike for Jack after Jack tried to copyright strike Dom's videos, despite the videos being protected by fair use. Dom and his friend Hayden had tried Jack's barbeque sauce, admitting that while they dislike Jack, they did enjoy the sauce. By 2025, Dom's channel has become inactive.

James Makinson

James Makinson is a professional chef from Spain. James has reacted to several of Jack's videos, while giving his professional opinion on how the dishes Jack makes would traditionally be prepared.

TheArcWielder

TheArcWielder, real name Noah Black, has reacted to many Jack videos. Noah has a degree in psychology, which has allowed him to talk more about signs of Jack's awful personality in addition to his cooking. Although Black has never been addressed by Jack himself, he did catch flack from one of Jack's loyal foodjacks, The Wolfe Pit.

Uncle Roger

Uncle Roger, real name Nigel Ng, is a popular Malaysian comedian whose schtick is talking like a stereotypical Chinese uncle. Ng has reacted to multiple Jack videos in October 2022.

Vincenzo's Plate

Vincenzo's Plate is a YouTube channel run by Vincenzo Prosperi, an Italian-Australian home cook who reacts to people making Italian cuisine to check its authenticity. Vincenzo has reacted to two Jack videos, appalled by how bad they were, and being shocked by Jack's claims to be Italian.
