== Biblical Literalism ==
Biblical literalism is the idea that the bible is not open to interpretation and every word of the bible is to be taken as literal fact. For example, according to biblical literalists, the phrase "The Lion shall lie with the lamb" used in the Bible is not meant to illustrate the magnitude of peace the coming of the kingdom of Heaven (an event falsely predicted by first century Christians to occur within their lifetime) but is, instead, meant to be seen as a literal observation- in which a lion has a nap with a literal lamb.
Jack cites this as the basis of his approach to the Bible and also the reason he is so skeptical of science.<ref>https://youtu.be/IJ2xeoVqLWI</ref>
